Joe and Holly M. came to us with their lovely home in Plymouth, MI that needs mold and mildew removal as well as replacement of rotting wood and a fresh coat of Rhino Shield paint.
We started out by power washing the whole home, there was lots of mildew and mold built up on the siding and on the soffits of their trim. This happens because of the area being damp and cold, either the sun does not hit that area of the home or it doesn't have enough ventilation. This can be avoided to use Rhino Shield APS and DFC Mold and Mildew cocktail. Once everything was washed off we began replacing rotted areas of the home with fresh wood. We then scraped off all of the excess mold, mildew, and other grim.
We then applied our APS(Adhesive Primer Sealer) to the areas of the home that we being painted which included the garage, trim, and siding. The APS is a sticky primer and sealant that protects the home and also helped the topcoat adhere to the home. We then applied our topcoat with that a mold and mildew cocktail to help prevent the growth of mold and mildew. The biggest benefit of this top coat is not only it is flexible but also durable this means no more cracked or peeling paint, and it adds insulation to the home. This helps boost its energy efficiency by helping keep cold and hot air in but allowing the vapors to move freely out of the home. The Morellos kept their trim white but made their garage door and siding a cool green color which went great with the dark brick and bright trim.
This family loves their new Rhino Shield paint job and we are glad we could help them out.
