Cheryl and Victor C. were dealing with peeling, loads of rotting wood, mold, mildew, as well as fading paint. We were called in to help them out and we were glad to take on this challenge.
We started out by power washing off all of the mold and mildew, these fungi appear in cold and damp areas of your home that don't get much sunlight or no sunlight. This home is in the middle of a forest so there is lots of shade meaning that mold and mildew have a better chance to grow. Rotting can happen for the same reason, water will sit in the wood and not evaporate cause the wood to break down. After power washing the home, we began to replace all of the rotted wood, this is a very important step because in order to create the best seal on the home all of the wood needs to be in good condition. We then began to scrape any leftover mold, mildew, and peeling paint.
Our installation team went in after the prep was done and they began to apply the Rhino Shield APS, this primer is an adhesive to the home and our topcoat. Our Adhesive Primer Sealer also moves with your home allowing it to expand and settle while moving with the topcoat preventing cracking and peeling paint. After our APS is applied and dried we began to spray our Elastomeric-Ceramic top coat. Our topcoat adds insulation to your home, reflects UV light, and is great and deflecting rain but able to let vapors from inside the home escape. This is perfect for this home because water will be able to escape the home but also rain won't be able to get in the wood to rot it.
The family love their new permanent paint and we are glad that we were able to give them their paint job.
